Please excuse the Daddy moment

Daughters and Dads

Daughters and Dads

For those of you who know me, you know that I am a fairly private person. You know that I love to work out by lifting heavy things and that I really enjoy technology, but you also know that my true passion is my daughters…

Incredigirls

I have two wonderful girls and if you follow me on Facebook you know that I have very smart, Sporty, beautiful girls. You will know that because that is just about all I post on Facebook.

I’m not about bragging, but I am very proud of my girls. :)

The last two weeks have been incredible on several fronts:

  • Both my girls are making great grades.
  • Both have really been put into some tough situations over the last few weeks… well kinda tough for teenage girls situations which is more drama filled than I can wrap my head around.
  • And finally, and the reason for this post, they are both rocking the sports world!

My oldest daughter recently finished up her travel club volleyball season and they won the Southern Region out of 68 teams with a thrilling three set final match that went extra points every game. She followed that up with the County championship track meet. She also is moving into high school as a rising ninth grader next year and she tried out for the high school volleyball teams. You need to know that the high school she will be attending is very competitive in volleyball and generally the varsity team makes the finals or semifinals in the state 6A (very large schools) tournament. They have a ninth-grade, junior varsity, and varsity team and she made the junior varsity team as a ninth grader. So proud!

My youngest daughter used to be a competitive gymnast and now she has been swimming competitively for over two years. Last weekend was her first meet of the long course season which basically just means that the swimming pool is 50 meters instead of 25 yards which is what the lengths are for short course. Out of the seven events she swam, she won four, got second in two, and finished up with a fourth place finish. Two of those race times rank in the top 15 nationally and two more are very close to the top 20 nationally.

What does this have to do with this blog? Well, if you read the last few days then you know that I am trying to make some changes and one of those changes is to stop and appreciate my life, daughters, friends and all the things that make life wonderful.

And in this case, maybe to brag just a little. :)

See you tomorrow.
